VB.NET: Creating Custom Events (Visual Basic 2008/2010/2012)

After a long needed break from making videos, I have finally returned with a long-needed tutorial: Using custom events in VB.NET. This allows you to generalize events for custom objects in order to simplify the user-interaction code of your program. Very useful, indeed!

Newbie here. Complex for me, but I''ll get there, thanks to tutorials like these. Print was large enough to read, verbiage easy to understand and progression through the tutorial made it easier to understand how I can use it on multiple btns etc. Thanks, well done...JT

Most people's tutorials, specifically vb.net user control tutorials, their audio is terrible quality, or way too loud, or they just have a bad voice or thick accent or a combination of any of those and its so annoying. I have one question: When you loop through the controls on the form, you have it do the ctype cast if it is a radiobutton and you convert it into a radiobutton. Why? If it already is a radiobutton then why do you need to cast it to the type it already is?

Funny fact: my gfs name is Val and she looked over my shoulder one day when I was coding and asked me why it said "ByVal" in my code. Lmao. She thought I was typing her name but didn't understand any syntax so she was confused.

at 18:32 line 18 i don't understand why you have to convert c to radiobutton when the if statement is already looking to see if c is a radio button
