The biggest mistake I made had to do with sizing. I normally wear a size 42 in most boots. The problem is that all those brands are so different with their European sizes. An Adidas boot in 42 is a 26, 5 cm in Japan size. On the other hand, a 26, 5 Japan size Puma boot is only a 41 in European size. I didn't know that and my first pair of Pumas had been way too big beacause of that.
So my advice is to find out what's your Japan size and always buy a new pair based on that size! It is a lot more accurate and less confusing and I can recommend that methode especially when you switch brands!
