I like that the “start-up” clicking noise for the device sounds like the ones from the tests we saw in earlier videos, but softer and in a higher pitch so as to make it obvious that this prototype is what will eventually lead to the device responsible for the creation of the first Backrooms portal.

One of the most overlooked and underappreciated aspects of these Backrooms videos is the music and sound effects. Kane chooses the perfect music to create that uneasy and unnerving atmosphere.

Imagine showing this to someone in the early 80s, and telling them something huge is coming in the next couple of years…

This is what I love about internet horror. There is no other medium that allows for this unique structure of storytelling, and it adds so much to the mystery and tension as well as keeping viewers invested. This series is so incredibly well done, keep it up my dude.

I think taking a more sci-fi approach to the backrooms is really interesting, and helps you stick out from the countless other backrooms content creators. A lot of people aren't particularly scared of the backrooms, so mixing in these genuinely cool hypothetical-science aspects among the rest of the horror stuff is really smart. Nice work as always, Kane!

The back rooms has always had potential, but the way Kane took it & built an entire world around it never stops amazing me. The undefined lore behind this, and the liminal space horror allows it to be interpreted in any way by anyone, making it truly haunting.

Anything regarding the experimentation of real world functioning portal technology automatically grabs my attention. This whole concept of the back rooms being, what appears to be, the result of experimenting with opening gateways in space time and stumbling upon a separated dimension tucked away in a hidden crawl space of the universe is so fascinating.

I’m amazed that these are made by someone who’s only a year older than me. I’m going to start making short films next year, but there’s no way they’re going to be this incredible! This is truly a work of art, I aspire to be like you Kane!!!

The sound design on this one was phenomenal. So dreamy, but the drop off at the end? You’re killing it Kane omg

I'm not a Physicist or anything remotely related but I LOVE how technical and scientific you're getting with the Lore. Could be totally bogus but it looks convincing enough to me. I can't get enough 🤯😁

I love how you don't just include scary stuff, you upload tape recordings and experiment logs too. Really fleshes out the mythos.

If this is all you, the vfx, the music, the storyboarding, the sound design, everything, you are well on your way to getting scooped by a major studio (if that's your goal) because everything you make is brilliant.

everything about this feels like a weird dream, the music, the color palette, the design of the equipment, it's all like one of those weird dreams I'd have as a kid that I couldn't explain and also scared the shit out of me lmao

Dude you have everyone around your finger wondering what’s gonna happen next. Not only are the sound effects, visuals, and music captivating, but the storytelling is so beautifully horrifying. Keep up the excellent work Kane! Can’t wait to see what you bring next!

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, the amount of nostalgia I feel watching your videos is something I’ve not experienced in a long long time, I don’t even know how to describe it. Youve just got “it”. You’ve got this genre figured out. You should be making full length movies or a tv show.

I love how the machines themselves look disturbing and off-putting even without any context.

These instruments and the later iteration of the machine with the full-size doorway look so raw and unfamiliar, it's done so well.

I really hope this wasn't the first and last time we learn about Oak Ridge and what led to this
This is still probably my favourite vid you've done. One minute thirty two seconds of perfection
