Maybee some people need this trick, but operators have been doing this for years. And you can still reach you loader lever to put it on the ground. Love your vids good info on a lot of equipment.

Positioning yourself with the backhoe attachment... Rubber tire backhoe operators have been doing it for decades... Merry Christmas to you and yours Neil 🎄

I like the tip of using the teeth of the bucket. And it also makes sense to use the boom and the curl at the same time. Thanks!

Thank you for the informative videos that you provide. We purchased a new Kubota last summer, (Not from you), and no one provided support like you do, (and I did ask). I have relied on this channel and a couple others for instructions. Please keep the videos coming. You are appreciated.

Another good practice is put the topsoil on one side an the clay on the other side. Makes finish work a lot better when trying to plant grass cause you can push the clay back in first an topsoil on top.

Yeah this saves a ton of time especially with my BX23S not having to swivel the seat every time

It’s been a week and I miss my BH77 already, great units. Nice tips.

Been doing this for a while now with my B2410 and Woods BH70-X. One other thing that is helpful, you know those long reach gripper things for getting cans off high shelves? You can use one of those to work the bucket. I use it to raise and lower the bucket when moving the tractor with the hoe. I always keep it in neutral though since the wheels aren't even on the ground when digging. The bucket and outriggers keep it from moving.

Nice job Neil. I’ll try it out next time I’m on the backhoe this week!

Our land has greywacke with tenacious clay.. The packing happens to me intermittently and I never knew why. I spray the bucket with vegetable oil which helps somewhat. Thank you!!!! Can't wait to try it. What a simple remedy for a b bucket that's full of

Don't really comment a lot, but watch all your videos. Really informative! I've seen this done, but wasn't sure how to do it. Now it's game on! Thanks for all your videos.

Frank on the Digginok channel has some good backhoe tips, including how to move on and off or cross a ditch on a construction site. It's amazing to watch him do it, almost like mechanical ballet with a backhoe.

Since you can easily still reach it the FEL lever from where you are sitting, I would suggest still lifting and lowering the front of the tractor with the Front End Loader (FEL) and bucket between moving the machine and digging. But otherwise, good example to show.

Really glad u made this video. I’d love to see how you would tackle straddling a trench. I have to widen a trench that is running between two ponds, open air trench. Best i can think of is i have to crab over it like you are doing here, or lay some temporary boards over top of it to get into position. From researching a lot not much info out there

Helpful tips Niel! Try using a 4 or5' stick you can use to push on foot pedal to travel forward or backward. Works on Hydros only.

As a L2501 / B77 owner, I did not use the backhoe to move the tractor knowing that the wheels were engaged to the transmission and would shift seats to re-locate.

Using the range selector to disengage the trans is definitely an awesome productivity gain.

Why, however, is lifting the rear wheels off the ground important while doing so if the fronts are on the ground (assuming front wheel assist is engaged)?
