What in the world is le plus-que-parfait? It’s a past tense that is used quite often in French. In this video, I’ll discuss when it’s used, how it’s conjugated and some things to keep in mind when using this tense.

The video literally starts with "what the heck is the plus que parfait". Cracked me up lol

* On the timeline at 1:43 it should be “Il s’était” not “je m’étais”

Hope this video is helpful! 🙂

This is a great channel . I can’t believe your not getting another 100 more likes. Your so great at this and I’ve watched a lot of French leaning channels ... oh là là là 🙈

I jut realized I had een using this tense already unintentionally because I just thought that if avoir/etre in present tense is "I have" then in the imparfait it surely means "I had"

quick question: Le Plus-Que-Parfait is combination of = subject + (avoir or etre) in L'imperfait + Past Participle of action verb... That last part has me confused.

Past Participle of action verb = passe compose?

Also thank you for the videos!

Thank you. Very interesting tutorials. However the black background is not very helpful. It's more difficult to read and impossible to print as the images use too much ink, for example, if you need to print a list of exceptions
