Are you a law graduate looking for a rewarding career in the power sector? If yes, then this video is for you. POWERGRID, a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, is inviting applications from bright, committed and energetic law graduates to join its fold as Officer Trainee (Law).

POWERGRID is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete Inter-State Transmission System. POWERGRID operates around 1,76,180 ckm Transmission Lines along with 275 Sub-stations and carries 45% of India’s Transmission Capacity of total power generated in the country through its transmission network. POWERGRID also owns and operates approximately 1,00,000 kms of Telecom Network, with points of presence in approx. 662 locations, points of Interconnections in 2408 locations and intra-city network in around 300 cities across India.

To take the growth curve to further heights, POWERGRID is looking for 9 Officer Trainee (Law) who will undergo one-year training and then be absorbed as Officer (Law) in E2 scale in Executive Cadre.

The selection process shall consist of CLAT – 2025 (for admission to post graduation) of eligible candidates, Document Verification, Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion, Personal Interview & Pre-Employment Medical Examination. The minimum marks required in CLAT-2024 shall be as per the Qualifying Marks set by CLAT Authorities. Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their actual marks in CLAT 2025 for admission for post-graduation.

The weightages assigned to CLAT 2025 marks, Group Discussion and Interview shall be as indicated below:

Marks in CLAT 2024 (applicable for admission to Post Graduation) - 85% Group Discussion - 3% Personal Interview - 12%

Candidates who qualify in the Personal Interview will only be adjudged suitable for empanelment. The Offer of Appointment shall be issued to the suitable candidates in the order of merit and based on the requirement. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in the Pre-Employment Medical Examination to be conducted as per POWERGRID Norms and Standards of Medical Fitness.

The application window for POWERGRID shall open from 7th November 2023 to 27th November 2024. Candidates have to register themselves online at POWERGRID website with details of their CLAT 2025 Application No. / CLAT Roll Number and other required information. The application fee is non-refundable Rs. 500/- for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and NIL for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/DEx-SM candidates.
