Ah, I place for me to vent about my problems with the Templar. Yeah, their abilities are bad, the abilities cost too much, they are too slow, there are so many anti barrack towers in KRF that they are even more useless. The Arterial Strike is a 10% chance to activate on top of a 2.5 second attack speed. 150 extra HP is 600, so just buy a barracks, so much less. Holy Grail doesn't even revive them to full HP, only a certain percentage depending on the level of the upgrade. Though, they are one of the most well designed towers to me, so it sucks that they were made terribly.

Assassins are fourth or third best barracks in the series after both Origins barracks and maybe Harrasers in Vengeance

Best barrack is the necromancer tower. Put that next to your artillery and profit as all the corpses of your enemies turn into friendly skeletons.

Templars are better at tanking Poukai Riders and other ranged enemies, surviving Abomination explosions and other AOE explosions, and lasting longer while trapped in nets.

By the way their 200 gold health upgrade doesn’t fully heal them on iOS but it does on Steam.

Imo the only time the templar is better to use than the assassins is when u go up against the phantoms. The assassins can't dodge the death aura and since they have relatively low health they can't really hold their own against phantoms, while the templar has more health so they can tank long enough for your hero/tower to kill the phantom.

Temple are better for enemies that deal area damage, due to their high health and chance of resurrection. Another situation in which Templars are better is against the following enemies: abominations, Poukai riders, Saurian Brute, savage hunters and Lycans.
But still, for the most part, Assassins just straight up outclass the Templars in many cases. That doesn't mean that Templars are useless, but they are usually the less desirable option. If they were cheaper and the Arterial strike ability had better chance of occurring, they might be a good barrack units to use every now and then.

What I absolutely love about Assasins is their passive ability. They are invisible to enemies until they either move or engage in combat. This was especially useful against the desert archers, tribal hunters and the infamous Saurian Death coils. If they can't see you they can't hit you. And all of the ranged enemies are terrible in melee combat and will get shredded without being able to use their ranged advantage.

Assassins: good for muneh, can stay Incognito and can insta-kill a bloodshell
Templars: has good armor, good for stalling, has a chance of getting revived,
I'd say both are good

I don't know when to use templar or assassin but I don't really care. I usually just get some low tier barracks then place some necromancers later.

Assassins are better but Templars have it’s uses. There’s some utility to having what basically are 3 heroes defense wise. 475 HP with 60% armor full upgrades, combined with a small chance of resurrection they easily are the second best stallers in the series.

when there is a deathcoil spam and you have 2+ templar tower with holy grail lv 3 (they can stall the saurian deathcoils enough while artillery can kill them, assasins just invisible when they idle)

Ok there are some situations where templars are better:
1. Area attackers such as gorillons and laser-whipped dinos
2. With the hp and revive upgrade, they can stall the deathcoils for so long, especially when It's combined with dierdre who has also reviving ability
3.Combined with a necromancer they preforms better. Idk why but that's it. Maybe because the death rider tanks anyways and you don't need the dodge or something but It does preforms better.

Assassins are generally great against basically everything with minor exceptions- templars are good against aoe and tank ranged better but assassins are still comparable in those areas due to instant kills and cloaking.

However, templars do much better against bosses with an aoe. Instant kills don’t work there, arterial strike does a good amount of dot, and they have a decent chance to self revive. However, that’s an extremely specific scenario, and assassins deal with backup dancers far more effectively.

TLDR; templers are slightly better against ranged and aoe enemies and aoe bosses, but not enough to really justify using them.

if the assassins have maxed out Sneak attack and they all attack one enemy it takes about 6.6 seconds to pull that trigger and get the instakill. In the Sunken Citadel it's always hard to choose which way to kill the Bloodshells. Either rely on Assassin instakill chance or place two archamges, because they have insane damage and Bloodhsells have nothing to stop the damage except for Medium armor. Also if there was a Rising tides Endless mode the miniboss would prolly look like a bigger Bloodshell and it'd be impossible to get far, since Bloodshells are immune to Fat boy.

Sure, Templar’s are mediocre, but holy hell I love their voice so much. It’s just SO GOOD!

Also when they drag their swords around I find it really funny.
Edit: I can’t believe I forgot, “Rise a knight!”

Well as i was playing the last campaign level from the jungle, there were alot of Poukai Riders and the templars are actually quite a help against them for stalling. I mean it's not that big of a deal but it's something.
