I have thought this many times over the years, especially when I have had the chance to come to visit the beautiful, ancient, once Catholic Churches throughout The UK and Republic of Ireland — I pray for us all, for the once Christian west, for a deep conversion of the heart and a return to Christ, and a return to worship within the Church Jesus founded, the Catholic Church, and a return of these churches for worship by Catholics.

How would the Catholics pay for for the upkeep of these huge historic buildings or provide priests to serve in them? Get real Gavin. Any Catholic can go into an Anglican cathedral and pray to their hearts content. Some also have regular Catholic Masses. Stop sniping at your old denomination. Why not offer to share the costs?
