I used to see Chuck at Ameristar Casino St. Charles now and then. Always wearing that silk jacket and his favorite Captains hat. He always had a smile when I would nod at him and ask "How are you?" He was so down to earth and was a master at writing song lyrics. I'm so happy I had several opportunities to see him and I'm pretty sure he knew he was a big deal in my book!! R.I.P. Chuck and thank you for blessing so many generations with your music!!🎼🖤

Chuck was the very best and seemed to have so much fun entertaining! I was in an audience when he was singing "MY DING-A -LING" everybody loved him and he seemed to love us! 💚💘 What a guy! 🎵

I was 7 in 1958 when I went on vacation with my parents and saw my uncle who was 15. I remember him playing this record over and over on his little 45 record player. I never saw him again. He died in a car crash the following year only 2 weeks after getting his drivers license. He was only 16 years and 2 weeks old. Don't drink and drive.

If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it 'Chuck Berry'. - John Lennon. I can just picture this song being listened to endlessly by a bunch of teenagers in Britain wanting to start their own bands. A guy who played guitar, wrote his own songs (iconic songs at that) and sang. To me, he’s one of the top 5 greatest guitarists of all time maybe not necessarily for his chops but his influence can’t be denied.
