Tony Stewart breaks silence following deadly crash

In his first press conference since the crash that killed Kevin Ward Jr., Tony Stewart said he wouldn't wish the sadness and pain he's faced on anyone and will have to live with that tragedy forever.

Tony Stewart did not hit him in purpose it was dark and the kid was walking on the track it could have happen to any of the other drivers.

He didn’t hit him on purpose but it’s very obvious to anyone that’s unbiased, that he accelerated in a caution zone, and wipped his tail out probably to throw dirt on him.

to all the racing "experts" in dirt racing, even under caution, drivers need to accelerate out of the corner. kevin stepped too far out. if tony hadn't hit him someone else may have after. kevin should have stayed in the vehicle and waited for track personel and then had a word with tony after the race. tony is a great guy and not a murderer

No one can say for sure if he did try and buzz him or not because only he can know that. But what was very clear was Ward getting out of his car pissed, on a track, pointing out Stewart's car, and basically playing chicken trying to get him to pull over and stop. There's no way that it wasn't Ward's own fault for getting hit.

I saw the video and Kevin jumped out of his car before the pace car even had time to slow the race. He then run halfway down the track while cars was still racing. The car in front of Tony had his vision of Kevin blocked and Tony did not see him till it was too late. Case closed.

Everyone says " oh it was Kevin's fault ". Listen, sure, dude wasn't supposed to be in the track. But THIS smoke and mirrors show, he is supposedly one of the best drivers there is.. So he KNEW exactly what he was doing.

Tony rev the engine in gear kicking his car sideways into the driver. Both were at fault but had he not rev the engine the driver would be alive.

They're both to blame . Ward let his emotions get the better of him and Stewart really should have just pitted since he knew the kid would do something stupid like what he did !
