One of the greatest athletes at the quarterback position. Elway had one of the strongest arms in NFL history and had the mobility to run, making a lot of big plays in the process. He was one of the clutchest quarterbacks ever with 46 game winning drives in his career with "The Drive" in the 1986 AFC Championship being his most famous one.

Elway helped bring the Broncos to the Super Bowl five times, where he won the last two before retiring after the 1998 season. He threw over 50,000 yards and 300 touchdowns in his career and is remembered as the greatest player in Denver Broncos history.

This may sound corny but it was a Privilege to watch him play. It was a gift to call him my Quarterback of my team! Go Elway! Go Broncos!

JOHN ELWAY was The Strongest Arm and Most Exciting Player to Watch in NFL HISTORY. As Far As I'm concerned, the NFL Retired on May 2nd, 1999.

Play at 2:54 against he Seahawks is truncated a little bit; it's best if you see that defender comin' like John did, & he just gets ducked & John chucks it for a TD. Amazing watching it broadcast live cuz it was from behind. It looked like John just shook him off like a feather. One of my favorite plays for some reason...it stuck in my head.

John Elway was widely one of the best quarterbacks ever to play in the NFL. He had the most victories by a starting quarterback and was statistically the second most prolific passer in NFL history. He was also a prolific rusher. After his retired from the NFL, he served as general manager and executive vice president of football operations of the Broncos.

If John had Montana's or Aikman's teams, he'd own every record and have ten Super Bowl wins. He took a mediocre Broncos to the Super Bowl three times. Most of his early career was bailing out Dan Reeves' crappy run-run-pass philosophy. One can only imagine if he had Mike Shanahan earlier or played in today's pass-happy league.

So many white knuckle 😬, stomach churning 🥴, television screaming 🤬, 1/2 of the last second wins to thank John Elway for. That was an amazing time for Bronco fans.

Dragged 3 mediocre Broncos teams to the SB by himself

This high school clip of Elway scrambling to throw a TD (0:55 / 14:17) has to be over 80 yards in the air on the money. It's hard to confirm with the black-and-white grainy film, but I'm pretty sure. Someone prove me wrong. Regardless it's an amazing throw for a high school kid to make.
