Wow!!! This has to be one of the best purchases I’ve made this year! Ur the man! I now use this for a better connection to my QSC Touchmix 16 (with my iPad)… and I’ll be using it also in the near future to network my Qsc LA112’s (With the 2 data ports on the front of the router) to QSC’s SYSNAV application. I highly recommend it!!!

Hi Scott! This is really a very good find. In the beginning I was like hmmm...another WiFi router, but when I went to the website and checked the spec, this thing supports IEEE 802.11ax which is WiFi 6 (but not WiFi 6E which supports the new 6 GHz). But please note that, in order to get WiFi 6 speeds, the devices connecting to it should also support WiFi 6. The items that I see that would take advantage of this router would be the PC/Mac (of course with WiFi 6 capabilities) and maybe the newer iPads/Phones. The mixers, however, until the latest ones released may not take the advantage of it. Some Shure wireless Mic ULX series receivers may be fast too when they are connected to the LAN ports of it.

Swissonic is a Thomann in-house brand for affordable (yet valuable) studio and live equipment.
I personally own their Yamaha HS7 inspired studio monitor and man, they are crazy value for what I spent, something like €200 or even less for a couple. I also sometimes used their audio interface and it worked totally fine, never had troubles regards to latency or tone.

I totally recommend this brand, crazy value for what you pay!

So this is a TOTOLINK X5000R inside just with a new more useable body and a big price hike. The main thing to note here though is that you can reflash to Open WRT for better firmware. I don't imagine Thomann (as nice as they are) will release a lot of fw updates.

Great video! 2 deal breakers for me: 1 space in my already crowded rack, I like to use the same rack for wireless mics and in-ear monitoring. The second is that another bunch of antennas...there are some small routers that doesn't even have antennas...it is kind of a box...I don' know if they are good maybe in small venues...maybe is another subject for another video? the router that you used to use is kind of good because you can extend the cable and put the antennas a bit far from the rack and not mix with other wireless antennas...

how about the security of it. I use the waves version and these things are soooo convenient
