I have a story —sort of sad, but in line with your sunflower. My stepfather passed away very suddenly on Christmas Day in 1999. He had a rare cancer no one knew. My Mom had just been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and was so sick from that and grief. I stayed with her for a time, and in the spring, a red tulip appeared out of nowhere. Mom never planted them, and it was her late husband’s favorite color (red). It bloomed close to the time they had met as well.

It never bloomed again, but that spring, it was very heartwarming for Mom to see.
