I tried it in North, and it was completely a different taste, neither dry nor wet. It was a good combination for chapati.

Sir i think you must have boiled it without adding water for 4/5 whistles.Please teach us how you boiled it. This is the most important step otherwise it becomes a halwa.

Everything is okay... But, Pressure cook for 1 and half whistles only... Before the second whistle is about to come, off the stove! Add extra oil for the crispy texture... Roast the kizhangu in low flame.. Then add the spices finally or else they will burn... This is how I made it and it turned out Tasty.

4 whistles also it'll be mashed. 1 whistle in high would be enough for this.

try using gram flour (besan/ kadala maavu) instead of rice flour (arisi maavu). also, try adding a bit sambhar powder for a rich smell & flavour....
