One of the most requested songs people have asked me to do has been Dedede Theme and I honestly couldn't tell you why I haven't done it yet, but now I'm glad I didn't so I could jump on this one as my first time hitting up the classic song. I'm so glad Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been so successful and loved because Kirby is one my most cherished video game franchises.

This time around I wanted to see how it work to mix different sounds. I completely redid my bass tone in Neural DSP Parallax, and used my usual lead tone. I mic'd my Mesa Boogie JP-2C for the rhythms and really liked how it sounded. I feel like I'm really getting the hang of doing real amp stuff.

I always appreciate tha Jules adds the backroung elements in the songs to his remxies. Like the chanting here and the voice in BIG SHOT. A lot of covers just feel empty without those elements.

One of my favorite things about King Dedede is that, unlike pretty much any other recurring big baddie, Dedede’s theme is never changed, they just add more to what’s there. Bowser, Ganondorf, King K. Rool, even Wario, never have one theme that stays. Dedede’s consistency at being his best self is what makes him so much cooler.
