Nice video and great comparison! I love GT40 and Ford GT 1st Gen is impressive too. But the new Ford GT... It's really fast machine, no doubt it, but I miss the passion and the factor of GT40. And above all the V6 Ecorubbish. Cars like this just must have V8!

Now THIS comparison would be an absolute JOY to participate in!! I've driven an 06 (my uncles) and a replica of an original, but I've never even laid eyes on an original GT40 in real life!! And, unfortunately, so far I haven't had the pleasure of getting acquainted with a newer model -- other than sitting in the PASSENGER SEAT of one for all of about 3 minutes. I've heard that it's quite a visceral experience and nothing at all like the 05/06 models. Hopefully I'll get to find out for myself one day.

Never liked fords though some designs like the 57' and 65' to 68' Mustangs are my faves. But really have loved the GT40 since I saw one in 67'. PS: Secret desire to put a late model HEMI in a 60's one.

I’m a Ford guy but HATE the new Ford GT. GM makes their halo car (the Z06) within reach of most. Ford has forgotten who is loyal to the brand and provided the basis from which they have the ability to build the Ford GT. Bring back a halo car like the Pantera that we can all buy NOT some 500K absurdity.
