Tracy Walder, formerly of the CIA and FBI, tells NewsNation's Connell McShane that "there really doesn't seem to be as much of a sense of urgency as I thought there would be" by police in bodycam video from Trump rally shooter. She adds the security perimeter doesn't appear to be as locked down as it should have been by both police and Secret Service.

There is no reason this building should have been outside the secret service parameter even if the local PD was supposed to be covering the rooftop and building! No coms with the Secret Service is insane!

Those who point finger at police, did you forget that the roof is dangerously sloped 😊

No urgency to get Trump off the stage. Plenty of urgency by locals.

My ears tend to go flat when I hear someone preempt an answer with “Let me be completely honest with you…” makes me wonder why the need to reenforce being honest….hmmmm?

The police couldn’t talk to the Secret Service because the Secret Service didn’t give them any walkie-talkie or radio transmitters to do that. They had to go through a switchboard. Then the switchboard got back to the Secret Service. And the Secret Service should’ve showed up for the meeting that morning to go over everything and they didn’t even showup for the police meeting

Actually I didn’t observe any ‘urgency’ by the secret service.

150 yards was an “outside perimeter”? What? Don’t blame the local PD. You are.

The Secret service director said it was impossible to station anyone on it because it had a sloped roof. Are you doubting the word of the Secret Service director? It was clearly impossible for anyone to get on their roof and not immediately fall to their death.

Explain why snipers on the inside second floor 30 yards from the stairwell exit. The window they were at was not open, but later videos show it open. Go figure.

Show me the building video if it was running. Half the time this type of videos are not even running, out of tape or whatever.

There was a pallet leaning up against the building right next to the little storage unit that the guy put his palms out for the guy to step on to get up. They could’ve even use that it’s a ladder 4 x 4 ladder basically that’s what a pallet is.

Absolutely no excuse for not putting security on that roof and the water tower! A criminal decision if you ask me. Anyone in the military and/or police force knows that MUST be done and is one of the FIRST things you do to secure an environment. In security training, it's kindergarten grade common sense!

You're assuming that you will see calm, rational tactical decisions by well-trained people. We did not see that.
