Casper has never beaten Novak (lost all 3 times and hasn’t even won a single set) and lost to Novak last year on the same courts.
Casper has a lot of incentive in winning the final tomorrow. It could be his first big title, biggest payday and finish the year at No. 2!
Novak’s incentives are tying Roger with the most ATP Finals titles at 6 each and the biggest payday in tennis history at $4.7 million!
I’m rooting for Casper but Novak is just too strong on indoor hard courts.

I watched how hardly Novak closed the deal when Fritz was armed and did his best.
But second match was so unbalanced and disappointing: Ruud did his job not splendid but in a good manner and Rublev was just crushed inside not by the opponent.
The difference of these two SFs as competitions is literally a abyss.
To be honest, the real level of the final was felt in the red group of "death" at the RR match Djokovic-Medvedev, when it was not only about spectacularity and huge duration, but also about the incredible density of quality and the indefatigable desire of everyone not to back down. You will say that Medvedev lost to everyone in his group, but in fact he took more sets than Nadal in another group, and in every match he exhausted his opponents so much that it’s hard to imagine a heavier and tougher opponent than him.
