Funnily enough in the original Starship troopers book they were jumping around bombing the shit out out of aliens with incredible level of tech so this game does have some accuracy

Fun fact, if u hold the reload button in a mission. U will pull out the weapon menu. In there u can change fire mode, zoom in or out n see how much ammo u have on the current mag

This game reminds me of Warhammer, like they're an Imperial Guard squad composed of Cadian Shock Troops attempting to eliminate Tyranid infestations throughout a large star system, lol. Plus, that "diving" onto the Planet looks and behaves almost exactly like Space Marines being deployed by Drop Pods.
