This song is so catchy and Sharon's performance is amazing! How they aren't more well-known is a mystery to me. This song and the rest of "The Unforgiving" album are a turning point for the band. Prior to this album in 2010, Sharon's vocals were more ethereal and high-pitched. Starting here until the present, we get a much more rich and powerful sound. I love all of their music, but Sharon really shines when she's belting it out!

It's okay to call this song rock. Within Temptation technically started out as symphonic metal, but they defy classification. They use a lot of symphonic elements, but a lot of rock as well.

Sharon is a great artist, beautiful, talented and as a great artist she knows how to involve and hypnotize you. Among the great female voices of metal, she is the one that, for her brilliance, purity, delicacy and strength, moves me the most and that often subjugates me at the end of the song

Their drummer Stephen van Haestregt left the band in 2010 before The Unforgiving album was recorded, the album was recorded with Swedish drummer Nicka Hellenberg. The videos for Faster, Shot In The Dark and Sinéad were filmed in late 2010 before a permanent replacement drummer was decided on which is why the drummer's face is hidden in all three videos. They announced in February 2011 that Mike Coolen was their new drummer. I don't know for certain the identity of the drummer in the videos but it could be Nicka Hellenberg.

This is the song that introduced me to WT and Sharon's amazing voice. It came in the form of a fan vid dedicated to season 10 of Smallville. Check out Sharon's high range with Angels, or Ice Queen, the group's first single.
Critique-wise: Let the lyrics speak to you. Interpret w/o actually reciting them. Nice job otherwise.
