Magus of the Library and Ascendance of A Bookworm are currently my 2 most favorite series, have read every released volume multiple times and can't wait for more! I am glad that I am not the only one who likes these series and hope more people will learn about/like them as well! :)

Btw, Theo is indeed mixed-blood b/t 2 races, and since the story is set in an imaginary world, there really isn't a distinction b/t human, elf, goblins, etc., I think they are all just considered different ethnicities, just like the differences b/t Americans, Asians, Europeans, Latinos, Middle easterners, etc., and the reason why he was so discriminated against for his heritage was b/c he was the child of parents from races against each other (or more specifically, in the past history, the race of his one parent used to slaughter the race of his other parent); if speaking in terms of examples in our world, Theo would have been the child of a Nazi and a Jew. Both his parents' races still exist (just like both Germans and Jews still exist in our world), but they just normally don't marry each other anymore, therefore, the type of person like Theo is rarely seen on the street is because he is the mix between these 2 races. Tbh, I think the set-up in this story is actually pretty realistic and we can totally reflect on our world; the bullying that had happened to Theo actually did happen in our world, even nowadays we can still hear stories about kids being bullied at school due to various reasons. It is also true that people tend to be afraid of the unknowns and differences and would have hostile reactions toward those things (fight or flight effect, you know), thankfully, due to education, more and more people nowadays are more tolerant to things that are different, but sadly, there are still even more people who don't have the opportunity to receive enough education to embrace all kinds of differences in this world.
