How to Setup LibreNMS

In this video, I go over how to set up LibreNMS on a virtual machine. This is used to monitor your network devices, collect statistical information, and (hopefully) more easily isolate issues and get real-time notifications when things go wrong.

LibreNMS is just one of many NMS (Network Management System) solutions, but it is my favorite due to the ease of deployment and the fact that it is free. Many other NMS providers will charge a lot of money for the ability to monitor network performance and most charge by the "sensor".

Nice video, easy to understand and follow. I was wondering if you've installed in VMware? I'm trying to determin the proper hardware hardware requirements for my environment. I have around 30 switches, 170 AP's, 20 virtual machines which are a mixture of Windows Servers and Linux servers. Also UPS units, printers and such. I'm think of starting with 2 CPUs, 16GB ram, 500GB drive space. What do you think or recommend? Is this overkill or not enough? I know there is the option to have an additional poller but I'm not sure I want to go there yet.

After on the SNMP when the device adding then shows " couldn't connect to .... please check the snmp details.

bro, I want to ask, my default first interface is "ubuntu login" not "librenms login" how do I overcome this or what is the ubuntu login password?

I saw you pressed on port and got 404 error. I have the same issue. If I want to get more information, I just get 404. Do you know how to fix it?
