Sooo... 24mm VS 35mm VS Zoom Lens - Which would YOU prefer?

24mm has a steeper learning curve but once you master it, it is a real story teller. It presents your subject in relation with his/her environment. I solely shoot street with 24mm

The Luminar sky replacements were awesome. I already wanted the 24 and now I want it even more! Thanks

Now, that’s what I wanted to see for a very long time! Luminar is great! I switched to prime lenses recently and not going back to zooms. Super35 just crops though. It doesn’t have an effect of a 35mm lens.

I'm using Sigma 16mm F1.4 (24 mm equiv) on my A6000. Really like this lens and thanks to it's sharpness I can crop pictures to get a little bit of that 35mm feel without losing much quality

I like the look of both, for different reasons. I think for making films, primes are the way to go, but for travel, street, stuff like that, it's good to have a great zoom, because you never know where you're gonna be, and what's going to happen, and so, I carry my 18-105 around most of the time on my Sony a6400, but for my film work, I use my primes. The only prime I always carry with me along with my 18-105 is my Samyang 12mm f2, in order to be able to get really wide shots if I need to. Also, it's so light, it's easy to carry, and I never found it hard to simply switch out lenses. Great video, as always, I always enjoy watching, and get tons of great insight. Much appreciated.

Love my 24 GM. I even use it for portraits in street photography. Great vlog, Jason....

With my couple of Batis lenses, 25 and 40, I cover 99% of all my photographic needs. Great video as always. 👍

After years of practicing photography I have found that 24 and 35mm are probably my most go to focal lengths, I have noticed that my shoots with clients tend to be more interactive since I have to get closer to my subjects for tighter shots. Definitely going to buy a 24mm GM Soon! That lens is so bad ass!

As always great video! I really would love to upgrade to the 24mm 1.4 gm but I honestly love my 25mm f2 batis so much. So my set up right now is the 25mm f2 batis for landscape, Sony zeiss 55mm 1.8 for street, and 85mm f1.8 zeiss batis for portraits. Pretty much set wouldnt you say so

I love prime lenses. Today’s zooms have definitely improved and almost equal in sharpness but you can’t beat those wide 1.4 aputures.

Great video! More informative than other ones i've seen, with practical examples.

Love the 24mm focal length but I have the sigma and adapted it as I used to have canon. While traviling also take the 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 ;). The 24 1.4 is awesome for landscapes/astro and most other things ;)

24MM all the way!!!!
Fell in love with it, i sold it to try a 35 properly, but I linger on that 24mm elongated style and edgy feel it gives!!

Really loved this video. I learned a lot. Think it’s going to be the 24mm for me. Thanks!!!

Always answering my most burning questions. Super35 was in my brain. Thanks for that! :D Oh! 24mm for sure!

Such great and classic focal lengths. The 35 has long been considered by many photographers as the true “normal” lens, not necessarily the 50. Decades of stunning Nat Geo images have been captured by photographers with a couple Leica bodies, a 21 and a 35 and a 90, all in a small bag. Primes are fantastic.
