The people are the problem. Clean people can't elect dirty leaders. We are complicit in corruption and therefore don't see how it harms us. We can pray to get a good leader like Nyerere or Khama who inculctated good cultures/principles to be followed but as long as people are dirty, they won't be able to identify good leaders.

Very true assertions. The main problem is us the citizens. We pressure our leaders to accumulate wealth within unrealistic periods, leading to chronic embezzlement of public funds. I think we as Kenyans need to be re-educated on being true patriots. Our leaders should also act in good faith to reverse the situation and head in the right direction.
