The host is looking for more controversial answers. Both max and lando had mentioned they are friends on a certain level and not the best of friends. A good example is: at work we go lunch with colleagues, occasionally doing certain events together. That does not means best friends. Normal friends /colleagues at work are very normal in most cases.

I'm relatively new to F1, but I've been doing my research about the sport's history and previous drivers. Drivers can DEFINITELY be good mates and even good friends both on and off track.
Lando himself was apart of what many considered (plenty still consider to this day) one of the best bromances with Carlos.
His interactions with him seem even more genuine and friendly than with Max or Oscar.
And let's not forget about the other best bromance, Yuki and Pierre. Those guys literally crashed into one another (mostly due to Yuki's fault) a couple of times if I'm not mistaken, but did Pierre ever rage at or stopped being friends with Yuki? Absolutely not.
To this day you can tell those two genuinely care for one another and are supportive of each other (in person and on social media).
And there were drivers in the past who even stopped mid track to help their mates/friends out!
So I think Lando needs to chill lol

The only thing this whole overblown saga has taught me is that Mclaren and Lando are far from challanging Red bull. So emotional over banging wheels. They are going to need a large pace advantage to beat them over a season anytime soon.

With incidents like this, people keep bringing up Nico and Lewis.
Nico and Lewis are a special case. They basically grew up together and were genuinely best friends. They fell out over the world championship.
But Lando and Max aren't like that. Lando and Max may hitch rides with each other, play video games together, and share a bit of banter, but that doesn't make them super close friends.
It just means they're chill with one another
