Please do more of these Intel vs AMD comparisons of the same model laptop. Considering all the thermals and power limits and what not, chosing one over the other usually is hard for who is looking to buy. These comparisons make everything much much clearer for the buyer. Keep it up folks. 🤟

This video has a huge flaw in the recommendation, the 4080 with intel (vapor chamber) is much quieter than the 4070 intel, so a true comparisson would be 4070 intel vs 4070 ryzen.

Everyone is failing to realize that Intel has very strong control over pricing and supply to keep AMD units from receiving higher than 4070 GPUs. If companies don't follow Intel's rules then they loose discount pricing. Microsoft and Intel have been doing this for decades.

That vapor chamber really helps with cooling and noise, getting rid of that whiny third fan. Too bad Asus decided only 4080 and 4090 would get it, and only Intel would get the 4080 and 4090.

Not sure why, but every manufacturer offer lower tier max configuration with AMD version of the laptop, compared to Intel, whether it is HP, Acer, MSI or Asus. In Acer and HP, you won't find a single gaming laptop with anything over RTX 4070. Asus used to provide higher end GPU with AMD version but that is also changing now. Technically, a G16 with RT 4080 can be a much potent option than the Intel because due to the higher CPU efficiency, the laptop can direct more power to the GPU, without throttling the CPU, as we al have seen that new Zen 5 Mobile chips can maintain very good speed even at 30W .

Amd version has wi fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 also has a faster sd card slot, and they changed the fan system to make them less winey and cool better. Would like to see this vs. ProArt P16.

I got the G16 AMD version through work, mainly using it for compiling code It's great! The better battery compared to other gaming laptops means I can finally work even places outside the office and home where no power is available!

I'm still rocking my 2019 Zephyrus GX701GWR... Changed a fan and repasted, but these things just keep going. 2070 and I can still play any new titles at moderate fps. I'm more cpu limited with some games that won't go. *My point is, I've been using Asus gaming laptops since 2010 and other brands since 2001. You can't go wrong with the Zephyrus line. I'll likely pick up a G16 with 4070 soon once I see the right sale price.

This year has been a complete joke. The hype machine for meteor lake. The hype machine for strix point. The hype machine for snapdragon x elite. All have had huge compromises or very little improvement or even negative improvement. All have been "major" architectural changes. The current debacle for these Zen5 chips is the purported latency between the chiplets that make gaming performance WORSE than Zen4 chips. I'm not holding my breath for lunar lake.
