I needed to find a way to do the thermal vision on a Post Process Setup I have installed and I came across this! Wow, and I am already subscribed to this channel?! I followed alongside Underscore and many of the UE4 Dev Community and produced some Amazing results. Thanks a Million! Anyone who wants some very awesome variations on the look should try using different Noise Masks as I tried out a few and was blown away by what I came up with. Thanks for a Quality Tutorial once again!

Awesome! Finally a thermal vision tutorial that doesn't require the ambient occlusions of each model or pre-made heat map textures and isn't over 30 minutes long!!!

Absolutely fantastic video thanks for sharing...
I was playing a game called "The Observer" they have a cyberpunk style investigation mode that seems to hide/unhide a mesh within the environment that has emissive materials assigned. A breakdown tutorial of that would be amazing

This is great, thanks for going so in-depth with it all! Quick question, any idea how you'd extend this functionality to particles as well? Such as, gunfire emitters, projectile trails, explosions, etc? That's the only spot I'm hung up on presently. Rest is dialed in pretty well with your tutorial's guidance.

I love this so helpful however! Feedback if possible im not well versed in the material editor! if you could explain the nodes and what they do that would be a massive help!

Super cool tut! How can we make it work in darkness? If I lower the sun lux, the post process is 100% black and in a real thermal camera it should still show hot objects.! Thanks!

I was expecting a harder solution, like swap all textures from all objects XD, this is super easy, thanks god I checked around first

Hey there, great video! I had a problem at around roughly the 6:00 mark when you select your character to have the custom depth pass to turn him into the orange/yellow colors. I get the same result however there is a constant intense flickering going on. Would you know why this is happening? Thanks!

Any idea how to get it to work for projectiles? I checked 'render custom depth pass' on the mesh for the projectile (from the third person example), but it doesn't show up in this mode...

How can I make this so that the characters are visible behind walls like in heat vision?
