230V + 230V = 400V?? 3-phase Power Explained

Another way to say it might be, in sign wave 3 phase the maximum difference in potential is 400V because they’re not in line with each other.

Additionally, if the phases were 180 degrees shifted, you would get the 460 volts but they're 120 degrees shifted.
