I thought his works on the destructive nature of a multipolar world and how imperialism innately causes war would inform his view, obviously you can write about eruditely then still casually throw it all away in bare-faced admiration of a dictator with expansionist ambitions.

Unconditional surrender is the only practical solution for Ukraine at this point. Hitler's Germany also refused to admit defeat until Hitler killed himself, then Keitel signed unconditional surrender. Post war settlement is Russia's business.

I agree. You cannot please everybody. Whatever Trump does, his critique will twist it and make it bad, they re just obsessed. Trump should give the Ukrainian who are still alive a chance to rebuild and have better future. Stop death and destruction. Those people who want to continue fighting should go to front line and send their own sons and men in their family. Let go people who want to live. Let people who want to leave military leave. Why would Putin trust an agreement with the west keeping Ukraine neutral and non NATO? I mean there was already an agreement by the west and Russia that NATO would not expand eastward and we she as hell broke that. Come to think about it I don't know of any agreement the west has ever kept and I say that as an American.
