£13 MTB Tyre - How bad is it? (Impac TrailPac Review)

So called hobby level mountain bike tires typically start at around £30 mark. Therefore, I was really intrigued to see how these Impac TrailPac MTB tyres performed – only costing £13 each! In this video, I’m going to review my experience of these tyres for the 600 or so km's I've ridden over the past 6 months.

They do a fair range of tyres. OK so they aren't for competition but they are a great choice for a 'runaround' bike. I tend to use the 'Smartpac' on the old 26" MTB which I use in plosives where I don't fancy leaving a more expensive bike. The Smartpac appears to be the 'old' Smart Sam pattern which is good all-rounder

Nice review dude. They seem to be holding up better than the Maxxis Minnion DHR2 tire that I got a couple of months back. They are highly rated, expensive and tubeless ready, however the sealant is leaking through the tire walls. Back to Schwalbe I think.

I have the same tyres.. I like them I must admit.. 1 gripe I have with them though is they dont shed sticky mud very well, I suspect that is due to the near vertical walls on the threads.. But for the price, its really a very good budget tyre.., I cant comment on puncture resistance though, I dont ride really rough rocky stuff..

Thread pattern looks similar to Schwalbe, no doubt about that. But this is my first time hearing about this tyre, but this tyre is not sold in Norway. So probably could get Schwalbe quite decently priced anyway.

i bought these for the specific purpose of mud lol, they looked like mud tyres
thing is though they are vaaastely better than the plastic crap i had before lol, so to me they feel great

Those mudguards are awful I had those when I was a kid rear always slapped the tyre and doun yo the side. 😁
