My favorite gen of the early T-birds. I love its Continental style front grilll and how it somewhat reminds me of the Chrysler turbine car. Beautiful.

Ford interiors in the 60s were definitely the tops . The 66 had that curved back seat... pretty cool...

This one is the highline Landau version with its vinyl top and chromed landau bars on the c-pillars. This one should have fender skirts, though. Only the Sports Roadster came from the factory without fender skirts, in order to provide clearance for its Kelsey-Hayes wire wheel hubs.

These were beautiful cars. I prefer them to the iconic two seater that preceded it in the 50s..

My next to oldest brother had one of these, my oldest brother had a 65, both were nice rides.

Late '50s early '60s was the peak of us automotive design no question about it.

My Buddy Mike had a similar ride, and his Grandpa a '67. Midwest.

My father bought my mother 3 different thunderbirds, a 57, 62, and 67 she loved them all but this was her favorite ❤

My parents had a 62 Thunderbird. Convertible, it was a beautiful car, white with red interior. Watching the top retract down into the trunk was really a neat feature to watch!

We had a 62 Thunderbird beige. Interior was white I recall. I used to sleep on the center console while my daddy drove on long trips.

Had a 65 thunderbird. White with dark burgundy interior. Got it for maybe $400 back in late 70s. Buried under tree limbs and leaves. Broken distributor cap if I remember. Spent 2 weeks cleaning. Car was damn near in perfect condition. I like the earlier model better.

The 406's, curiously - carrying THUNDERBIRD on the valve covers and Thunderbird Special decals ; four barrel or three Holley two barrels mounted backwards to keep the float bowls level - were only available in the '62 - and til mid year '63, Galaxies.

It's based on Elwood Engel's original proposal for the coupe version of his game-changing '61 Lincoln Continental 4-door pillared hardtop.

I never liked those hearse moldings on the cabin sides .
I think they could have designed a nicer looking molding .

Never saw a t-bird that I didn’t like.
Someday I hope they do a four door. Story like this.
