I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, even from a young age when I set up my room as a makeshift store and sold items to my stuffed animals. However, despite running a cleaning company since 2006, I haven’t talked about my journey as an entrepreneur on this channel. So today I want to share with you the story of how I started my very first business in 2006 - and how you can do the same this year.

I'm so excited to read all these comments about young women wanting to start cleaning businesses. You are needed! I'm 72 and have physical issues that go with getting older. I really appreciate the woman who comes to clean for me. She isn't that good but I love her and trust her. I would say that trustworthiness is very high on customer satisfaction.

Concerning hiring people as your business grows - be like a coach. There's a pattern for training people: 1) I do it-you watch 2) I do it- you help 3) You do it- I help 4) You do it- I watch. Step 4 is ongoing because you want to always be there to advise and encourage.

I love your story! It’s exactly like mine… I went to a fancy business school and then took my first job in medical devices and hated it and thought there was something wrong with me. Now I run my own marketing company and a specialty house plant business. Congrats all your success!!

This is amazing! 4 years ago I found you when I was playing around with the idea of a cleaning company of my own. I was a stay at home mom just getting back to work after 12 years home, and had no degree. I've been cleaning now for almost 4 years. I have about 30 clients but now I'm stuck. Thank you for sharing your entrepreneurship story! You are very blessed to have an intellectual and loving Uncle, who told you to start from the bottom up! I believe, from watching all of your videos, that your "ground up" experiences have given you limitless amounts of knowledge for your cleaning business!! While I've never been either a professional cleaner or an entrepreneur, I have worked in the medical business. While looking to become a nurse, during a mid-life crisis, I began as a CNA. While in school, my instructor gave some great advice! She said that the best nurses start from the bottom up, beginning with a CNA, and she was right! While I never quite reached my nursing degree, due to a permanent back injury acquired as a CNA, I've worked alongside of many Nurses. The majority of nurses who worked their way up, rather than just earning a nursing degree, understood not only the patient's better, but respected the CNA'S and CMA'S more! Thank you so much for sharing! I always love your videos! I've learned multiple new and easier ways to clean, minimalize and stay organized!! ♡
