You can bring in as many rules as you like, but as long as there is a structure where Dublin and Kerry can walk to a semi final, while Ulster teams need to slog it out, it will always be unfair. Scrap the provincials, or make them a pre season comp. End this outdated nonsense

Did they ever consider a 13 player a side game? Also why not just give the goalkeeper a no hop no solo.. goalkeepers are getting shafted here with that rule.. they cant dictate a game at all and are effectively useless when their team has the ball. No hop or solo is also a regulation but it stops goalkeepers slowing the game down. They have to be aware of their next pass before receiving it.

Get rid of all the hand passing and go back to a catch and kick game.

Two consecutive hand passes, and then the ball must be kicked..
It's supposed to be football, not handball.

Too many teams are overly reliant on handpassing to keep pocession slowing the game down and taking away the skill of kick passing and scoring

I absolutely despise goalkeepers playing up the field. Hopefully the new 4 point goals will force them to stay put.

Terrible game to watch now, make it simple again, back to the
rules of 30 years ago. Except keep the 3 players inside the half but give a free from wherever the ball is at time of infraction, and the quick free. Get rid of the mark, the black card, the 50 yard brought forward frees, the 1 in the middle for throw in, and all the other rubbish that's ruining the game. Let the lads shoulder again. Yous are killing the game. I'm 50 snd have played the game for years and I've gone to games up and down the country since I was a boy. I've held a Parnell pass for years. My friends are drifting away from the games and I will shortly too if it stays like this. Yous are not just ruining the game but eating big chunks out of the social fabric of the country. Its supposed to be Gaelic football NOT soccer NOT Aussie rules NOT Rugby.

Just fix the tackle. The silly tackle rules are the primary source of football's issues and the main thing preventing it from functioning properly as a sport.

Look at the last serious compromise rules game from 2015, the ball was kicked around the pitch, because getting caught in possession was punished with a functional and real wrap tackle.

Every contact field sport in the world outside of Ireland where a ball is carried forward in hand has a wrap tackle.

Rules in any real sport should be simple, clear, effective and easy to enforce, it other words, functional.

The gaa tackle in both codes does not function. There's a deep lack of honesty about it.

We should run county football like a premier league and get the best in the country rewarded for there efforts.
