By the time they release bulldozer the motherboard manufactuers will or should be releasing 990 fx boards like this with pci express 3.0 support so that is why I would pass on these boards until the processor is out on the market especially now that 3.0 pci express is out now first with intel only a matter of time for AMD and I hate upgrading motherboards so might as well wait so I can get pci express 3.0 support when bulldozer finally comes out.

ok, is this board really worth the cash.. i see the specs are very close to UD5.. I know the board is bad ass, But if you really do not utilize the 4 way sli or crossfire isn't it just a waste of money? when a ud3 or ud5 has close to similar specs but just ud3 is 2 way and UD5 is 3 way..

I have a Gigabyte MB gave me problems from the beginning at the end they told me that the MB was a recall from intel and they told me to take it back to Microcent, I went there two times they told me that they don't do recalls, I'm just tire of it I'm goig to put it in the trash stay away from GIGABYTE.

How is the UD7 treating you I am torn between the Gigabyte 990FXA and the MSI 990FXA-GD80. I think I will probably go with the Gigabyte board but some reviews say its hard to OC and what not. Also what touch screen fan controller do you have? I seen it for a brief moment and am just wondering.

Good video dude.
Just a comment, you could put one water-cooling fan outside of the case, that's what I did so that you have more air in it.

A question, how did you connect the two USB3 connectors that are in front of the case, I didn't find the appropriate wires in my case box (haf x)

hello friend
I have a question
which power source you use?
I have a pc like yours
it is more advisable corsair or the water cooling fan s
but only I lack the power and wanted to know which is more convenient
and I need to put the processor but I know if I have to put thermal paste?
the processor is a amd phenom ii x6 1090T
I hope your recommendations

@gamer3864 i know gigabyte well and they never let me down. also a very stable board. the cross V also has fetures that the gigabyte does not have, like ROG connect. and as of now the cross V has a graphical bios, but ive heard that it crashes a lot. the gigayte UD7 has TOUCH BIOS which is the same thing, but used in windows. basically do your resurch and you decide whats best for you.... i ofcourse went with the UD7 because it suits my needs and so far is the best board based on AMD platform!

@gamer3864 I too was torn between this board and the CROSSHAIR V, now there both great boards and not far differnt price wise. but it all comes down to features and what you plan on doing now and the future of your build. now the CROSS V does tri sli/tri crossx, and the UD7 does 4way sli/crossx natively, for the money if you ever plan on going with 3 graphics cards or more i would recommend the UD7. and also in benchmarks it out performes the cross V, by a little bit.

@XBATHORYX13
Well my Budget suffice pretty much anything but I wish it would let me post the link to the gigabyte comparison from their website and there's differences but not huge.. What I'm saying is if I'm not going to utilize all the little extras the UD7 comes with then I would be fine with UD5 or UD3 right? but honest I may only crossfire or sli 2 cards so all the extras would be useless to me right.. Not going to any major overclocking at all..

@Paranundrum the reasons why i choose the 990FXA-UD7 was that am awaiting the bulldozer and that this board supports 32GB as i plan to upgrade to that when they are available, also it supports SLI, QUAD SLI at that. and QUAD crossfire, as i plan on going SLI in the near future. and i like the fact that it has lots of expansion slots for other devices. i know the version 3.0 or 3.1 of the 890 board supports bulldozer, but my 890 was a 2.1 version not supported by AM3+

@JesFarebro i too was torn between two boards.. the UD7 and the CROSSHAIR V i choose this board because im familiar with Gigabyte and the features where what i wanted and plus my past 890FXA-UD5 was so good to me. ive had MSI and ive fried them! in my experience they cant cope with overclocking....as to your question...i have the AEROCOOL TOUCH 2000 fan controller and so far i love it!

@IRONPLANE12 Thank you and thanks for watching my video. as to your comment on the watercooling..i plan on getting the H100 or a custom watercooling set up soon... as to your question. as of now i connected the USB 3.0 connectors to the back of my motherboard..the HAF X does not have a USB 3.0 front header and neither the motherboard so i plan i getting one form an aftermarket company.. please subsbribe and give a thumbs up!

cheers

@spymasterwade UD7 i think has more performance and better bios/more upgradable and more shit you can do with it, its like a game, Stage 1, you can change the bodykits and rims to some extent (sorry for refering to nfs :3) Stage 2, you can change everything but no wide bodykits or customisable parts. Stage 3, you can do everything you want . UD7- UD5 - UD3

@OnHitCulture Yes it is! not just for the 4 way SLI or 4 way CROSSFIRE, but that it has much more expansion slots if you do not populate them with graphics cards, and also its propably one of the leasst expensive 4 way SLI/CROSSFIRE boards out there! but if your budget doesnt sufice then go with the UD3 OR UD5. this board is geared towards the enthuciest like me!
