This song was released a few days after the birth of my son. I am his father, his only parent. He opened his eyes and looked at me when this song was playing. I was lost in those blue eyes, , the most beautiful boy, my love, my world. We will now forever, thanks to The Irrepressibles, exist there, in that moment. For me this song is about the flow of love from a father to his son ...and back again.

This song is about the love between two men who were strong like soldiers, yet had the innocnece of youth. One of them did not survive the trial that came forth, and the other lived on with survivor's guilt. In his memory - his partner remains with the purity of boyhood.
