6:20 Imagine the Holy Roman Empire (roughly from 800 AD to 1800) as a federal republic like the USA or Germany today. However, the head of state was not a president, but an elected(!) German king, who was then automatically crowned emperor of the empire. There was no capital, but several palaces (palatinates) that served as the capital every time the emperor visited. The "parliament" consisted of the heads of the respective states (think of today's American governors or prime ministers of the German states), counts, princes, dukes, kings, prince-bishops and so on. But also knights and the mayors of the so-called "free imperial cities", wich were directly subordinated to the emperor. They all met regularly at irregular intervals for a so-called "Imperial Diet" and had differently weighted votes depending on their dignity. From 1356, there was even a constitution, the so-called "Golden Bull".

What we Germans are also very good at is complaining about how bad everything is here 😀. Of course not everything is perfect, but personally I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. As I always like to say? We complain at an extremely high level! I hope you understand what I want to say?

the most things you know about ghermany are bagvarian ...
bavaria ist the true kulturell hotspot and the place to go!!!
if you wan´t to get a real german experiance you shuld go to bavaria trust me!!!
