I just looked at mine yesterday, so far this batch are still looking good. Lost several last month, I stored mine like a farmer in the UK, kinda, I really didn't have the type of crates she used. So lesson learned, pricey one, but after the first try storing them, now I know. You guys stay warm, looks like a cold weekend coming your way.

Just found your channel. Hello from Cincinnati Zone 6A. Could they be dipped in cinnamon from the start? Just curious. I have lots of trouble with mine drying out. I am considering just collecting the seeds and growing them the next year that way no storage is needed. I read that method from the book Discovering Dahlias. I am a HUGE Dahlia lover. I will keep trying until I succeed!!!

Hello from Denmark. Asked a pro grower in the Netherlands how they store theirs. Dissolve sawdust in folding boxes so that there is air around, i.e. no plastic. Been using that method for the last 5 years and no problems at all. So just some input from here.

I love all your videos on your channel and I'm always looking forward to the next one. I am curious as to why you haven't planted any Solidago/Godenrod? It's practically a must for Monarchs and all the pollinators towards the end of the season. There are quite a number of varieties too. Just wondering. I'm really looking forward to this Spring and everything you and hubby will be videotaping for all of us fans.😉

Love your videos. Have you tried layering them in animal shaving or pet bedding. Mine here in MN are stored in styrofoam coolers but with just bedding.

They get colder in the cardboard box so they go through the cold to warm cycle so condensation is occuring. The cooler would tend to keep them at a more consistent temp. This is what I go through and lose them all every year for the past 3. I was so happy to discover your saranwrap cooler method and that saran is what is allowing you a fighting chance in the box. Was so happy to just see your video pop up. February was a big tease and now the snow and cold hitting us. Ugh.

I bought some dahlia tubers from my garden center this week but I have no idea how to grow them. Do I have to start them indoors? Or can I wait about one month ie: late March and plant them outside? Im on Cape Cod zone 7a last frost 4/30. Love your channel and I'm a long time follower.

Why do you wrap in plastic? I don't wrap any tubers or bulbs in plastic, they can't breathe. It's the same as if you're keeping onions or garlic. Their life in storage is shorter, they get mold
