And seeing him smile at his words thrown back at him couldn't make me prouder of him.

These emotional moments between Kratos & Atreus are by far my favorite moments of the game.

Ironic that a series that was built on vicious, flashy gameplay ended up having its best moments when the main character slows down and says "I'm sorry". Amazing.

This scene meant so much to me. As someone who has a bit of a rocky relationship with their own dad, hearing Kratos say he was sorry was the apology I never knew I needed. I love my dad, and I know he isn't perfect (far from it actually), and he and I clash way too frequently these days. But I only get one dad. I know he's trying his best. I'll forever be grateful to Santa Monica for playing a key role my own personal growth and healing.

Kratos goes from leaving Poseidon’s Princess and crushing her in a machine to apologizing to his son, that’s some major character change and good writing 💀

That's what really sets Kratos apart as a genuinely good father figure. Despite all of his shortcomings and flaws, he holds himself accountable for his mistakes once he realizes that he's made them.

1:04 is what makes Kratos a great father. If another parent heard their kid say that the conversation would end and the same mistakes would be made but Kratos corrects his son and admits to his own mistakes. He doesn’t want to be proven right he wants to do what is right for his son.

I was so close to not crying throughout the whole thing and then they HAD to sneak in 3:01 It just hits so hard seeing Kratos like this. Best Video game dad of 2022, he was able to overcome so much and guide Atreus as a mentor and father.
