Hey Cody, I want to take a little time to thank you for the excellent video. Two and a half years ago my car over heated on the road. I was far away from home so I had no choice but to have a professional mechanic fix the problem. They charged me $450 and installed a cheap $75 Cooling Fan Assembly that totalling failed and burned up last week. This time I was close to home and with the help of your video I installed a heavier duty, higher quality unit for $225. My wife and I have a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis LS. We love this car. It has 140k miles and drives better than a new car. We do not remember when the A/C felt this cold. It will literally freeze your ass off. 🤣 Thanks again for the great video. There is nothing more gratifying than completing a DIY project, putting your hands in your pockets and saying YUP, I DID THAT! 😁 Keep up the great work. God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍🏻

Thank You! Pep Boys quoted me $1, 150 with no leaks, no problem with fan motor.... module damaged....flush and refill with coolant. WTF!!! These cars are User-Friendly for especially when someone inspires us to try....

As Rashed mentions, and you have not made any comment about the voltage? The fan is a 12v fan and you want 12v to it. As you show when testing the fan! Granted we all make errors by sometimes getting our thought reversed when giving a presentation, the Voltage from the Module should be 12! Which lower then that indicates that the Module would be bad. Not trying to make you look bad just hopping to clear something that may confuse some people with less knowledge of the systems they are looking for help with. Would like to see a correction if possible?

Excellent video and I understood your explanation of voltage and how it varies.

Very good, but for someone new to this, it would be nice to see where it came from. I can tell from the wires, it must be close to the air filter box, but where, please? Thank you

Thank you for this video. I own a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police. I'm having problems with my car overheating. The fan wasn't working. I hope it's just the fan control module, or the cooling fan relay, and not the fan. The cooling fan relay is cheap but the module alone is expensive by itself, but it's cheaper than buying a new fan and a new module. I hope I can fix it myself. Hey can I check the module connection like you did with just a volt meter? I don't have that volt checker that lights up when checking 12 volts. Also, how did you connect the gator clips to test the fan with the battery. I couldn't really see video.

All voltage in the car is 12 v so it should be give 12 v otherwise the fan will not work in this video the module give variable result less than 12v so the fan will not working because it have less supply from the module in that case the module is damage and should be change this my troubleshooting i check the module it give 12v and i give the fan direct power from battery and it not work so i change the fan and the problem is solved this day iam sorry about the grammar writing iam from Saudi Arabia thank you

If the module is bad will the fan come on at all? My fan works during cold start in the morning. after the engine warms up my fan doesn’t blow when the car is idling. My ac will stop blowing cold air at stop lights but blows cold at cruising speeds.

Does the module have different speeds at idle vs when the car is running? My 2010 overheats when idling for a long time. Fan is spinning and on.

It would be nice showing how you took out the fan and, put the new one in.

Help! I have an 08 Crown Vic Police Interceptor and we’ve changed out the fan, the module, the water pump, the cht sensor and thermostat. When everything is connected no fan. When module is unhooked fan turns on. Any suggestions on what to try next?

Where did you get the module? There is wild price range on these units!! Are the cheap imports any good?
