Trigonometry can be used to measure the height
if you know the distance from where you observe the building and the angle of elevation you can easily find the height of the building. Similarly, if you have the value of one side and the angle of depression from the top of the building you can find and another side in the triangle, all you need to know is one side and angle of the triangle.

For any 30-60-90 degree triangle, the short side of the triangle (the side opposite 30 degrees) times the square root of 3 equals the length of the medium sized side (the side opposite 60 degrees). Therefore, 20 (the length of the shirt side) times the square root of 3 equals the length of the side we’re looking for

Solution for cot C=BC/AB
Cot 30°=BC/20
√3=BC/20
20√3=BC

Cot30 = BC/AB, (cot30 = √3)then, √3 =BC/20, so our answer is 20√3😀😀

Height/base equals tan of this angle
And base equals height divided by tan theta
20/tan(30) equals 20*1.732 # 34.64

CotC=BC/AB
Cot30=√3
BC/20=√3
BC=20√3

cot 30*= adjacent/opposite

or, √3 = BC/AB

or, √3 = BC/ 20

∴ BC= *20√3* (Ans)

To remember trigonometric ratio I’ll tell you a easy trick

Just remember “OHAHOA”
The first oh stands for sin s ratio ie, opposite side by hypotenuse and ho for cos s ratio ie adjacent by hypotenuse then oa for tan

When you reverse the word aohaoh you’ll get the remaining for cosec sec and tan

Thank me later
