How to prune lavender

In late summer when lavender flowers start to fade, a full pruning will keep the plants looking fresh and compact.

Nice video. Can I please ask if I should trim back my lavender bush now, in June, to try and shape it better? I trimmed it back after planting it last year but it's grown back and looks pretty wild now!

The lavender bush I have has a lot of dead foliage underneath the green. How can I rid of all this dead without killing it? It s on the ground about 4 feet tall. Thanks

My lavender doesn’t have any flower shoots and never really has (only a few) . It’s definitely getting leggy and bare at the base. But on the top there is plenty of healthy green leaves. Should I be pruning these back to encourage flowering? Not going into the woody stems of course. Any advice? They are hidcote blue lavender. I definitely don’t want to kill this plant 😫

I planted lavender this year love it But I planted along a border white and blue alternately. The white stands straight and looks great but the blue is all over the place and looks bad, ? what am i doing wrong ? both planted at same time and both english lavender, why does the white look better than the blue ? these are new plants

Unaware of this. Bought three lavender plants two weeks ago from a nursery. They look rather rough even after two weeks so do I need to cut them already?
