Japanese Indigo Dyeing is a traditional art form that has been around for centuries. It was used only for aristocrats or samurai at first. However, by about the 17th century, it had spread to the entire population. Now we are able to have a go at this incredible tradition.

Disclaimer: This was filmed on March 13 and March 15, 2020. We are not currently traveling or going out in congested areas (as of April) and we are socially isolating as a family. Our only time outside for extended periods is between 5:00am and 7:30am when the city is asleep. Mostly, to go for a run. Please stay safe and let's beat the pandemic together.
