Internet of Things (IoT) will change the
working environment in terms of adoption through
concern, energy savings, privacy and sometimes
comfort. This report explains how to simulate the
Smart Office System using Cisco Packet Tracer.
Included in the system are advanced modules such
as RFID-based access control, automated lighting
and climate control, anti-theft and energy-saving
modules using solar power. The simulation will
also show how devices are interconnected through
IoT gateways and smartphones.
Research such as this will show how feasible and
promising smart offices could be if implemented in
the real world to enhance workplace productivity
and sustainability.
