I can’t express enough how good Henry was. He’s the pundit I respect the most, not because of his opinions but because he was a brilliant footballer. I think he was perhaps (for my generation - born in the 90s) the first footballer in the prem that made non arsenal fans fall in love with football.
The fact he didn’t win the ballon dor is a crime and a shame on the entity of awards in football. He was without a doubt the best player in the world for a good portion of history. In terms of his consistency, performances and style of play. He gave premier league awards to players who had no right winning them. He elevated arsenal as a team and as a club today. Brilliant brilliant player, and sadly I think never got the respect he deserved, tho at the same time, you ask 9/10 people who the best every premier league player was, it will be Henry.

Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are by far my favorite living football legends, they are the reason I fell in love with football in the first place, they are part of my childhood... Henry should have won at least one or two ballon d'or in the 2003 and 2004 seasons, he was so unique and underrated back then, he was almost unstoppable and genuinely a very good all-rounder authentic player. ☯️✌️
