I'm not sure if limiting God is very profitable for the audience. I absolutely agree with you that God doesn't need a chariot/device or technology to travel. However, it seems like we are limiting God and His capacities and his sovereignty.
That statement will go along with God saying. "I do what I please." If it's pleasing to God to travel in a technology transporter, as He is an Almighty Infinite Creator and owner of all advanced technological inventions; that it's not an impossibility. Also, he gave Daniel a prophecy that he couldn't understand at that moment since it was meant for the future. Likewise, we can use those premises to argue that Ezekiel was presented with a visual that he not necessarily needed to understand but it was meant for him to know it, write it and perhaps for future generations that may be able to relate to a technology traveling devices. Daniel was ordered to seal the book because it wasn't meant for him to understand it but for a future generation. There's nothing estranged about the vision, and it doesn't necessarily mean it was symbolic either.

We don’t really know what God looks like or if there is a technology involved. God only tells us what we need to know. Don’t let anyone tell you they know because they don’t. Just study the Bible and believe his word 🙏

The sounding of the sixth angelic trumpet will release the four angels who are
bound at the great river Euphrates. These are fallen angels.
The opening of the seventh seal ushers in the seven trumpets. These seven trumpets
