What’s sad is that building is 2 blocks away from the 850 Bryant police station and a CHP station across the street, yet it’s an area with safety concerns. That should tell people just how brazen these criminals have become. That tends to happen when it’s a city that doesn’t prosecute criminals.

And they are wondering why tax revenues are plumenting. Businesses are leaving and the criminals, and homeless have more rights than taxpayers.

They would do MUCH better to just pick up and move to San Mateo County, the DA pulls no punches and laws are enforced there. Please open in South San Francisco, Daly City, San Bruno, or Pacifica! We'd love to have you. That part of SF is spiraling- yet, studio condos are $1-$2 mil with $1100/mo HoA fees. I'm sorry, but that's just idiocy.

The powers to be in SF don’t care about any of you. WAKE UP.

The days of allowing customers inside of buildings is over. Install a touchscreen menu, tap to pay, and a hatch where the order can be placed, door closed for the safety of employees, and another door opened so that the customer can receive their products.

They opened 6 months ago? So they should have been aware of all the crap going down in San Fran and they still opened a business there? I feel no pity

Eddy & Jones has a SF police station that has some of the worst crime and drug abuse around a 10-15 block radius. I used to do deliveries there, saw the same people dealing drugs with their checks full of pills, and beat cops never did anything to them even when they see them openly deal drugs. I have seen countless car break-ins while working all over the city and the homeless just gets worse and worse. The worst part is if you try and stop a violent criminal, auto burglary/theft, or store robberies you will be arrested and prosecuted with the full force of the law yet the perpetrator goes free to rob and steal the next day. That’s why my wife and I move to a small town in Montana and couldn’t be happier.

Why do taxpayers have to pay them? They’re business owners! That comes with risks. They knew the area before they opened and anyone stupid enough to open a business in SF and expects not to get robbed, or vandalized or have to deal with homelessness or car break ins, drug addicts and dealers is completely clueless to what’s going on in the city. These issues are not new. Taxpayers should not be paying businesses for them to relocate. Let them hire security guards and here’s some common sense vote differently. If they want out of the lease then contact your landlord and negotiate it or close the business and file bankruptcy. I guarantee you they’re not making any money and blaming the robbery and future housing for the homeless as an excuse for a dying business.

Owners should pack-up and leave just like their ex-employees, not worth risking their lives and money.

I am so sad to see the way that San Francisco has fallen down. This New Englander has always wanted to visit SF. It was the setting for my favorite movie, Bullitt.

Back in 2000, banks got tired from being robbed. 90% of the banks now put up tall bullet-proof glasses separate customers and employees at the tellers.
All restaurants will need to do that nowadays.

The best way for SF leaders to tackle their crime epidemic is to resign for promoting lenient sentencing and de-funding the police.

Who would have known that criminal WILL NOT follow your silly carry "laws" so the only person being hurt is the business owners and regular citizen who get does not have a right to defend himself because of government "feelings"

Sorry, I am not from US but i don’t understand the whole concept of homelessness in US. They receive a lot of benefits being homeless, they receive monthly compensation by government using tax payer money and now free apartment/ shelter in one of the most expensive places in the US with tax payer money.
A lot of people struggle to pay bills by working 9-5 and yet homeless don’t need to work and gain those benefits. Why can’t they just seek jobs?

People blame the police, mayor, city officials. They are simply doing what the vocal people demanded. Your defund the police by $120 million was not such a great idea now was it....
