VC 23152 is commonly known as DUI - Driving under the influence. It's also often abbreviated as VC 23152 and VC stands for Vehicle Code. Often times when DUI is charged it's charged in two ways:
1. VC 23152 a
2. Vc 23152 b
a count as its commonly called, means that you were driving impaired. Based on officers observations your car was not driving in a straight line or weaving or the car was floating. In some manner there was an indication that you were impaired or under the impairment of alcoholic beverage or a drug.
Vehicle Code section 23152 b simply means that you were driving with blood alcohol level of over .08. In other words if your blood alcohol level was over .08 you could have been driving perfectly fine but if blood test or breath test reveals the BAC of over .08 then you would be guilty of 23152(b).
