For a long time, I worked and traveled so much that I missed alot of family time. Weekend trips to the grandparents, holidays, birthdays, graduations. One day I heard this song and it hit me really hard. I gave up that lifestyle, found a new job where I was home more and haven't missed an important date since. Family is everything and I took it for granted.

Listened to this today, and it made me cry. My boys are almost 27 and 23. I miss them so much. My oldest is getting married next year. This reminded me of when they were little, hearing their laugh, Birthdays, first day of school. They grow up so fast. You blink and there graduating from high school.

wow i love this song it makes me cry everytime i hear it. My uncle missed his my cousins births and all there birthdays till they were both 7 nad he saw there 7th birthday then he had to go back to work and now he will miss everything eles they do in life becasue he passed away when they where 8 yrs old.

it seems like nobody realizes how sad it must be for the old man sitting next to him on the plane who already missed his life, that must be heart wrenching and its just luck that he was talking to a singer who could portray his message to everyone that was about to miss their life or was already missing it. so that they could snap back to reality and realize what their doing to themselves and the people around them.
this is a beautiful song and its sang with so much emotion

my dad travels for work and ive barely seen him all summer. he missed mine and my 2 brothers' birthdays. him missed our first day of school this year, and he wrote such a sweet facebook post with this song and i was crying my eyes out. i miss him so much but he works for abetter life for my family. i love him!
