SAMPLE BAND 9 SCRIPT
Part 1
Let’s talk about computers
Do you often use computers in your daily life?
Yes, computers are an essential part of my daily life. As a Computer Science student, I rely on computers for various tasks. For example, I use them for writing coding assignments using IntelliJ IDEA, creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, and accessing online learning platforms like Coursera or edX.

What types of tasks do you typically use computers for?
I frequently use computers for programming. Recently, I developed a web application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a project called "WebHub" in my Web Development course. I also rely on computers for tasks like writing reports using Microsoft Word.

PART 2
Talk about a recent event at school or work where you acquired a new skill.
You should say:
What was the event?
Where was it held?
How long was the event and who were the trainers?
What skills or skills did you learn and why?
What would you suggest to the organizer(s) to make this event even better in the future?

Band 9 Part 2 Response:
During a recent event at my university, I had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on "Data Visualization and Storytelling." The event took place in the computer lab of the School of Computer Science and was organized by the university's Data Science Club.

The workshop spanned over two days, with each session lasting around four hours. The trainers were experts in the field of data visualization, and they had extensive experience working with various visualization tools and techniques. They guided us through hands-on exercises and shared their insights on effective data communication.

I found this event particularly beneficial for my academic and future career pursuits. As a Computer Science student with an interest in data analysis and visualization, these skills are crucial for effectively communicating insights and findings derived from data. In today's data-driven world, the ability to present information visually and tell stories through data is highly valued in various industries.

To make this event even better in the future, I would suggest one key improvement. It would be helpful to provide participants with pre-workshop materials, such as tutorials or introductory videos, to familiarize them with the basics of data visualization. This would ensure that everyone starts the workshop with a similar level of understanding.

Overall, this event was a valuable experience for me, as it equipped me with essential skills in data visualization and storytelling. I look forward to applying these skills in my future academic and professional endeavors.

PART 3
Let’s talk about career training.
Why is it a good idea to involve collaborative activities or group projects in educational workshops?

Collaborative activities in workshops, like the web development training organized by the Tech Academy, where we formed teams and worked together to design and code a website and foster teamwork and communication skills. This hands-on approach not only enhanced our ability to collaborate effectively but also improved our problem-solving skills

Despite that I am not a examiner I would give 6.5 or even 7 for the 1st part of Speaking. Because he was good enough and used good vocab.

He deserves 7, if he is getting just 5.5 form the interview, I would say my score will be not more than 3.5.

I think he deserves 6: be more lenient, lexical resource 7, fluency 6, grammar 5, pronunciation 6. He has some high-level vocabulary.

I m quit confused
Why are u giving him a low band score...?
This is really painful
He deserves more

He is quite more fluent and has a wide range of vocabulary as well as pronunciation....

This examiner is clearly unbiased 😪😪

May god prohib us from such type of examiner during our IELTS.😂

i think the examiner had a personal problem with this boy. come on he was fluent enough to get at least 6.5. Also he used well developed answers, and showed fair enough vocabulary.

He should be getting at least 7 in his speaking because I remember I had spoken less than he has here in this test but I got 7. He has fairly chosen words and he is coherent too.

This man's focus is advertising his course rather than shearing mock exams.

I think he is an introvert. He certainly deserve a better score.

I mean absolutely no disrespect towards your professional judgement, but I do feel that this candidate deserves a higher score. It appears to me that there's an overemphasis on finding errors and some of them are not even reasonable. For instance, the way he gave his identification to you. It seems to me that you were pushing towards promoting your training courses.
It is not difficult to find contrasting examples out there. Some candidates who weren't even willing to speak were awarded a Band 6 or even higher. LOL

When you can not find an idea, it does not mean you are not fluent, it means you do not have an appropriate idea .

Cambly is too expensive that 30 minutes per day for 5 days in a week costs 75k rupees even 47% discount applied... If you opted to pay this per month and it would cost to 11k per month and approximately 1 lakh 30 thousands 😒

15:17 this is not fair at all, what kind of question is this, do you even understand what you are saying, having made an effort to comprehend what you mean with these sophisticated words, neither have I been able to grasp the meaning nor I have had an idea to give a response 🤦🤦

My sister doesn't speak nearly as good as he does, yet she managed to get a band 8 for her speaking, I think Adrian is being a tad too strict with his assessment for this candidate
