My mom loves Cohen and as a kid I didn't much care for it. Now I'm almost 46 I find myself being pulled into it again

I love this so much... I actually learned to play guitar by "playing along" with these songs, about a thousand years ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This album introduced me to Cohen 32 years ago, still have the cassete I recorded from a vynil that I borrowed, in Mx city.

Such a beautifully quiet album. It has this warm, cozy feel like you’re listening to him sing to you in the wee hours of the morning, resting in the small room of an old log cabin, with a fire crackling in the fire place. While he has more exciting albums, this one has its own kind of low-key magic.

OMG - Who added the strings etc .. and for goodness' sake WHY? The 1969 original version was so much more raw and real and meaningful. This ghastly bouncy, pop re-styling has ripped away all the soul, power and meaning that Cohen conveyed in his man & guitar original recording For someone like me, who was there with him in 1969, this is a betrayal and a travesty
